Ariel moved from the shores of Twin Lake, MI to Echo Park Lake, CA to direct surreal and fantastical tales amidst mountains, seas, and cactuses. Along the way, she carved out a career in production design - designing and art directing over seventy short films, music videos, and feature films in Los Angeles.
Most at home shooting strange desert vistas and stylized genre action, she's drawn both to sprawling, Tolkien-esque journeys as well as adventure tales told in the breadth of a single song. Her first feature film will be released in the fall of 2016, and her music video directorial debut - Lord Huron's The World Ender - is just beginning its festival run.
